Laurie says: Lewis was also one of the kittens born to the strays we "inherited" when we moved into our new house. He is not a littermate of
Teddie -- different moms. Fortunately I found a home for Lewis, so someone else is now enjoying his cute lil' mug. ;-) I've included a photo of all three stray moms and their kittens -- the pile of furballs! It's crazy, they would all lay together on our deck, nursing each other's babies.... craziness! The cat we plan to keep is the one that is multicolored in the group pic. She is very sweet considering she is a stray and runs the neighborhood. And her kitten is a yellow and white one, that is under the pile somewhere. LOL!
I did call the Dane County Humane Society and they will take them for a fee of $30 for each cat and $30 for the litter of kittens. They will also spay or neuter the one cat and the one kitten I plan to keep for a fee of $30 each. So $150 to help stop the craziness that exists at our new home. But if I can stop the craziness and find them homes, it will be worth it. And hopefully the neighbors don't have any more cats!
