Tiger, Jr. [redux]

Jay says: Daisy was a stray cat who brought four of her babies to the back door of the house. We started to feed them every day. We named the little tabby Tiger, Jr., because he was very well marked with tiger-like stripes. We fed Tiger, Jr., his mom, and his three siblings for a few months before they slowly went their own ways.

Beautiful family. Maybe next time you can think about taking the mother cat in for a spay? It really makes an enormous difference in the cat population. Thank you for feeding them.

yes... perhaps your local Humane Society or Veterinarian will give you a special price. When I fostered 8 kittens that a friend found, my Vet gave them their 1st shots & check-up at cost only.

This expression belongs to an old soul! I remember Tiger Jr. because of it. So they are all still feral? I suppose that is one way to handle this, but I wish you had seen to their adoption. Yes, the photos are tender.

Reminds me of a similar situation I had with a mama cat and 3 kittens. I did TNR on 2 of the kittens. Mama and one of the kittens disappeared before I could do TNR. I still feed one of my TNRs. Cats need our help. Thanks for feeding this crew. They are precious!

A beautiful cat family. You were blessed when she picked you to help feed her family and keep them safe. If you had just followed through and had her spayed and found homes for her kits (you vet would help..mine does all the time) they would all be safe and happy now instead of cold, hungry, abused or even dead.

Please, please try to find the kitties and have them fixed. I took in 7 kittens to 3 feral moms and posted their photo on a flier in the local pet stores and they all easily found homes. I took in the two moms and had them spayed. Please, see what you can do to help the little family - it's not too late! :)

You had 3 months to get the Mom spayed and find homes for the catties. Most counties have a low cost spay/ neuter program to take advantage of. What a shame. Tiger Jr is too cute for words, if he is still alive.

Thanks for sharing the photos of these sweeties, Jay. @Kephara, it's called being responsible, not holier-than-thou. And you'll find that nearly all the cats & kittens featured have been rescued. Tiger Jr. sounds like a name that belonged to a predecessor (Tiger). And why give them names if they were only to be left to "go their own way"?
