Paul says: I photographed these kittens in the San Anton Palace Gardens in Malta. The palace is the official residence of the president of Malta and is surrounded by gardens.
Such a tender photo, one of the first I bookmarked under the caption, "Such a big wurld and Ize so little." Still gets to me. Makes me want to save every kitty!
When I saw that today's feature was the kittens of Malta I expected to see this photo again. Yay, I wasn't disappointed. It's one of my favorite kitten photos of all time. So incredibly sweet!
When I was in Malta in 2007, there was a woman who made sure the cats had food and water daily. She accepted my donation, and I understand others donate as well. I hope she or someone continues to care for these felines.
little one looking at the world. i looked up the San Anton Gardens and from what i read, the cats are taken care of by the caretakers and guards. there are 4 special ones that live in the guardroom. don't know if any of the ones on the grounds are spayed or neutered.
