Violet [redux]

Eva says: Violet is one of the babies of Sophia, a cowprint mom who gave birth in the shelter. Thanks to one amazing foster mom, Joan, who offered her pet store, PS9 Pets in Brooklyn, and, upon realizing how tiny the kits were, her much warmer and more quiet bathroom, we pulled the little family to safety. A week later only one kitten had opened his eyes. Sophia has a cold and has lost weight but is nursing, sweet, and quiet.

Currently Violet, one of two blue girls, is six weeks old and perfectly healthy. She is bigger and chubbier than her "twin" sister, Lilly, and was the first to eat solid foods. She has the most amazing expression on her little face -- calm, indifferent, but somehow satisfied. I love this little family and I love how moms do all the work and the kits are clean, well fed, and happy, even if we have to help out at times.
