Laura says: We adopted Zeus from the SPCA when he was three months old. When he was featured kitty on "Good Morning Kitten" on July 26, 2011, we were bursting with kitty-parent pride. Now, we are delighted to share more of his kittenhood. We had no idea when Ted suggested the name "Zeus" just how PURRRRFECT that name was for this mighty force-of-nature. Being an exclusively indoor cat hasn't kept him from being in touch with his inner wild cat. He is a fearless, reckless explorer and a colossus among cats. We call him our "parlor panther" because of his long, lean, muscular stature and wild ways. Our dear boy runs like thunder and flies through the air with no regard for gravity. He rests with equal gusto, twisting himself into impossible poses and sleeping like a rock. Zeus is also a connoisseur of massage. Nothing makes him happier than a strong back rub.neck to tail, then back up to the neck ruffling his fur along the way. "Oh yeah, do that again, and again, and oooooh yes, the neck and the chin. Ahhhhh..." He rolls his eyes and spaces out. Then there is the massaging foot technique: Zeus will throw himself down on the floor in front of one of us; it's time to deliver a full body kitty massage using a bare foot along his thick velvety fur. AND, he's a lover as well. Zeus is so expressive and affectionate with both of us, as well as our neighbor and her little Siamese cat. There's nothing that melts our hearts more than Zeus giving us a hearty head-butt accompanied by a cheerful trill. We are his and we are grateful for that each and every day!
