Smoggy's Friends: Kylie, Rachael, Beccy & Saunders [redux]

Catherine says: Catherine says: I began fostering kittens and cats for the Lort Smith Animal Hospital and Shelter in Melbourne, Australia, in late 2007 after the death of my beloved cat Smoggy, and in his honor.

The fifth 2009 group of foster kittens arrived in May 2009. One minute I was alerted to four kittens needing fostering, and the next minute they were in my lounge adjusting to a new life. There were three girls and one boy. What a joy these little ones were! After a timid start, they all blossomed beautifully. Saunders grew into a handsome little man and Beccy grew into a lovely little lady, and they were the first to be returned to the shelter. Kylie and Rachie had a little more growing to do so they stayed for another week or so… how awful for all involved. ;-) They adjusted nicely to having more room in the bed. The best part of this litter was that none of them became sick… their black and white genes must be made of tough stuff! :D All four were adopted.

They are all beautiful kittens but my heart went to this little black beauty! Loved the videos as always and wonder how Catherine keeps those hardwood floors so shiny with all the running and playing going on.
