Maire52 says: Muffin is our surprise pale pointed kitten from a dark tortoiseshell mother. I always wanted a colourpoint cat and I feel extraordinarily lucky that, out of the blue, my fairly ordinary though beautiful and much loved tortie Sushi gave birth to this kitten. The vet says she is not a true colourpoint, but she is close enough for me. I thought I would have to pay for one. She looks like she has pedigree somewhere down or up the line. From my research on the Internet, I think she must have some ragdoll (she is very floppy and relaxed, unlike her mum) or some Birman in her. But really she is just a moggie but a very special one. Muffin adores being in the garden. She is a mega washer which is good considering the amount of fur she has. She takes care of it entirely by herself. She does however have the nickname Birdbrain and I wonder if she sees very well. She is clumsy when climbing and at five weeks old fell out of our bedroom window onto the conservatory roof. Luckily I had a big towel handy to drop out of the window and she managed to climb back up. What can I say? Muffin is beautiful, of questionable intelligence, has mood swings, and is absolutely adored by her family, even my husband who calls her “that daft cat.”
