Flint-Hill says: We live on a farm in Pennsylvania, where we do what we can for a dozen or so feral and semiferal cats. We make sure they have access to food and fresh water 365 days a year, treat them for worms and Coccidia twice a year, and provide heated dogloos inside the barn in the wintertime. As a result, the ones who live on our property are or at least appear to be healthy. Angel Face is one of our barn cats, a tiny and friendly kitty who, like most of her tribe, is a fierce fighter when she has to be. This year Angel gave birth to Max and Maven. She brought them down to the house and raised them under a rainfly we pitched in the shrubbery before taking them back to the feral life a few weeks later. Max is now a handsome adolescent who lives in our barn and in the neighboring woods.

I'm cringing that you are allowing these cats to reproduce! You're awesome to be taking care of them, but remember: in five years, two cats can produce 11,000 cats. Sorry for the lecture, but I volunteer for feral cats and TNR (Trap, Neuter, and Return) is a big part of my life. Please get these cats neutered! Thank you.

If you can get this close to these catties, you should TNR them. They will be happier, and get Angel neutered too, please.

Bless you for taking such good care of your ferals. I moved into a house that had ferals in the backyard so care for them now. I love them so much! I work with the Feral Cat Coalition to trap, spay/neuter and release them. I have spay/neutered 10 cats but can't trap one Mama kitty so my colony is still growing. I have 10 in my colony and she just had another litter. Hopefully there is a program near you for getting them spayed/neutered. How do you give them all worm medicine? I would like to give worm medicine to my wild cats.

I agree with most of the comments. I can guess that you live on a farm and the cats do a great job of keeping your rodent population under control but you only need so many so you should trap neuter spay (TNR) the majority of them and keep one momma to replenish your numbers as needed. I know that sounds cruel to many but it is a fact of farm life and she is doing a great job of keeping them all healthy. If there is no TNR group in your area try to contact Alley Cat Allies, a national group involved in TNR for help.

Beautiful babies & a stunning mommy! Bless you for watching over them. I've worked in low cost ER vet care for several years. Our facility started as a low cost spay/neuter facility. If you could trap them you should be able to find a facility that would provide s/n and vaccinations for them annually, keeping them even healthier and preventing additional litters from being born and put at risk of becoming prey. I'm with JudyMack812 ~ there are benefits to keeping a mama around to keep the bard cat bloodlines (lol) going, And Alley Cat Allies is a GREAT organization.
