Newton likes to be gently vacuumed and gallops to me when I start cleaning. Her most endearing habit is difficult to photograph: she tunnels under the duvet and sleeps pushed up against us during the night. When she was a kitten, I took the apparently unnecessary precaution of a hooped structure to protect her from being smothered by the duvet. She eagerly leaps for a bouncing ping pong ball and smacks one back to me through a large mailing tube tunnel in an elaborate pouncing game. Hide-and-seek is another favourite game. She prefers high perches, climbing bookshelves each day to watch over my home office from near the ceiling. Orbularity sometimes gives her a workout chasing his laser pointer.
