Bethany says: Ever since I was ten years old I have yearned for an all-white kitten that has blue eyes. As you can imagine, I was ecstatic to adopt Nermal! Nermal is ten weeks old. I adopted him from a shelter called
A Purrfect Start in Columbus, Ohio. He was one of nine kittens in his litter. The mother was a stray that had jumped into a Columbus man’s truck. The man took her home where she gave birth to nine babies, seven all-white and two tortoiseshell. The kittens were all given
Star Wars themed names, but I changed Han's name to Nermal after my favorite
Garfield character.
Nermal was the smallest boy but he is full of energy! I have only had him a week but love him very much. He loves to jump and play and still attempts to nurse on my ears which always makes me laugh. Nermal, or Nermy for short, is still a little timid around new things both indoors and out but is slowly coming out of his shell. A friend and I just took him to the park by my house for the first time. It took him awhile to warm up to being in the “wild," but his curiosity got the best of him and eventually he started to explore. Nermy is also a big cuddler who likes to sleep on my shoulder, in my armpit, or right under my chin. He is a real momma’s boy!
