Mama-San's Kittens Part 5: Miss Petunia

Betsy says: Miss Petunia was the diva of the bunch, always posing for the camera and proudly displaying her dainty femininity every chance she could. She also liked to play peek-a-boo behind the scratching post. That may be why this photo was the second-place winner in Cat Fancy magazine's annual cutest kitten photo contest and published in the April 2009 issue. :-) Petunia was adopted along with her brother Marco Polo by a friend of mine who is a fellow photographer. We receive regular updates on them both.

Miss Petunia was one of my favorites of Mama-San's litter -- and I think you can see why! :-) She had 10 kittens total that we know of before we finally caught and spayed her; there are 6 in this batch, so you get one more tomorrow. My family had a kitty like this, her name was Cinnamon. We had to put her to sleep; about 3 years ago. Even though we adopted another kitty, we still miss Cinnamon. She was like the cat version of Lassie. She was such a loving protective cat, not just of our other cat, but also my son. She adored him. I was not allowed to yell at him, while she was around. They were partners in crime for sure.
