Steve and Krissy say: Minnie is a purr-box whose loves include having her paws massaged, chewing on her people's freshly showered feet, and drinking fresh water (older than an hour is too old for her). She enjoys chasing remote-controlled cars and sprinting across the room spontaneously. Probably her favorite activity is playing fetch with coffee stir sticks. She went crazy when we dropped one accidentally and she flipped it all around the house. Now we throw them down the hall and she pounces on them and then carries them back for more play. She likes to jump at flying socks and will hide at the end of the hall when we are doing laundry waiting for us to throw some to her. She has actually caught socks midair with some ninja cat twist. Minnie is definitely an alpha hunter -- I pity the prey in her world. She is a backup alarm clock and pounces on us if we don't get up on time. She lives exclusively indoors as we live on a busy street.

This expression is breath taking! Minnie sounds like a ball of fun! My Ubu likes to play with straws (and will bring them back like Minnie does with coffee stir sticks).

i had to laugh when I read about minnie's love of fresh water. my ophelia has me very well trained; not only does she love her water fresh but once it's freshened she sits and waits for the ice cubes. she loves them! :-) many belly rubs and ear scritches for sweet minnie!

My Clawdia MUST have fresh ice water several times a day. What's more, she must have 2 water bowls. She drinks out of one and washes her paws several times a day in the other.

*on soapbox* Yes, cats can live their whole lives happily indoors. no need to let your cats roam outside. not fair to the cats (dangers) OR your neighbors either. I love cats but hate it when the neighbors cats poop in my yard and terrorize the birds I'm trying to attract. KEEP CATS INDOORS! *off soapbox*

But on my *soapbox*, have to disagree with you CJ. Not all kitties are happy inside. My girls would go stark raving mad if they had to stay in all the time - they LOVE being OUT where they can be, well, CATS. With all animals comes poo, and with cats comes bird chasing. It's their nature. Sorry you're having problems. We have problems with a neighbor's cat too - he sprays everything to mark territory. NASTY. Guess those are some of the ups & downs to sharing space with these wonderful fluff balls though. Hope it gets better for you!

Dogs love to be outside too. That doesn't mean people should be allowed to let their dogs run wild and free into other people's yards. Even nice little friendly dogs that couldn't hurt a fly. I agree that once cats are used to going outside, they love it and would miss it if they could no longer. But if kittens are kept inside from the get go, they don't know what they are missing. Cats do not HAVE to go outside to live healthy lives. In fact cats that are allowed outdoors have a lower life expectancy.

If you want to let your cat out, tie it up on a lead or a leash just like people have to do with dogs. There's nothing wrong with that. It's not fair to let your animals trespass on others' property no matter what kind of animal you have -- cat, dog, goat, ferret, horse, snake -- it doesn't matter. It's not neighborly.

But I do love all animals, I just think we must respect other people's rights not to have our animals on their property. No one can argue with that.

What a bundle of 'miss thang'. That tummy is "snorgable" for sure. Seems Minnie doesn't miss too many sports and has invented a few for Kitteh Olympics. I have kitty brothers who fetch, too. Jingle-bell balls and tiny plastic tubs.

My soapbox comes out now. I live in the country and should you leave a cat out at night, kitty is a "happy meal" for the coyotes/bobcats. Small dogs, as well, as my neighbor's chihuahua became Taco Bell take-away. And I will second that it is rude to allow your animal to run about on someone else's property- pooping in gardens, tearing into garbage bags and spraying doors. Most leash laws include cats, but it's not enforced because you can't dart a cat-they disappear into the nearest crevice. House cats live longer and have less chances to pick up air borne diseases. BTW, most shots do NOT prevent a virus, they simply lessen symptoms of the virus/disease should your animal contract the virus. I brought home a pup with distemper-thought to be an URI-and had to put her down, and prayed my other three had enough immunity/age to not contact it.

We have so many cruel peeps in the world today, ones who put cats in dryers, use them as fighting-dog bait, bash them about and skin them alive. Shouldn't your precious furkids be fully protected by inside only or leashed with your supervision? Soapbox stowed and seats in upright positions. Return you to original programming.

The pictures made me think she's the most adorable kitten in the world and the story put it way over the top! I love her! To infinity and beyond! My black cat likes playing fetch too, except she chases after a green fuzzy monster, not stir sticks. This cat is amazingly gorgeous. What an amazing fur pattern. She kinda reminds me of the Cheshire Cat from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I'm glad you keep her indoors, it would be so heartbreaking if she got ran over. My two oldest cats go outdoors because they've been outdoor cats all their lives and they're very street-smart but we got my black kitten when she was a month old (We had to adopt her young because the shelter was so incredibly crowded) so she stays indoors because I'm sure if a car came anywhere near her she'd have no idea what to do, and she's much to proud to run away from danger. Gosh, this is probably the most beautiful cat I've ever seen.

I love this pretty kitty! =^,,^= Sooo adorable! I've got five fine felines (two intentional, 3 rescues...) and my cats all play fetch (favorite is a pont tail holder!) and they all like freah water WITH ICE CUBES of course, and Tipsy, my youngest, will only settle for RUNNING WATER so she follows me into the bathroom every time I go! LOL! I wuv wittle kitty cats! (And I agree-keep them inside...I live near a busy road and railroad track- I'd be devastated if something ever happened.)
