lovinkat says: This is Orange Julius. He joined our three-cat family a while back when a colleague told me that her niece's cat had kittens and wanted to know if I'd like one. I said that I wasn't interested unless there was a fuzzy orange one. Of course there was a fuzzy orange one! Julius is a very busy cat who pursues his two main interests all day long: hunting and eating. Thankfully, he rarely eats what he hunts but that hasn't stopped him from bringing in a lot of yard fauna, much of it still alive. So far there have been many mice, birds, and lizards. Unfortunately there have been a couple of rats and one big dead crow too. The crow was lovingly placed in the hall right square in front of my bedroom door so it would be the first thing I'd see when I got up in the morning. Such a thoughtful cat!
Awww, Julius. What a handsome boy you are! You look just like my Jojo. You gotta love those orange tabbies. Be a good boy and have a long, happy, healthy life, little one.
Like a shot of vitamin C in the morning! What a wonderful cat your Julius is--a takeover cat who honors you with gifts of dead or nearly dead things, hoping to teach you how to hunt. Love him. That's my valentine.

A really beautiful boy! Love his name. All my kitties names start with J.
He is one photogenic kitty! I can't get over that he's identical to what I imagine my Dublin was like as a kitten! Dub was about a year old when I got him, & so I never got to see him as a kitten. Still, Julius lets me imagine Dub as one. All the shots of Julius are wonderful, but the one of him sleeping is my favourite. Sleeping felines have such a look of absolute peace, like all's well with the world & sleep will not elude them. :)
What a beautiful boy! All the orange kitties I've met are very even-tempered.

Thanks for all your comments! I'm Julius' mama and he's a pure delight (except for the nearly-dead yard fauna). He's sunning himself on the driveway right now unaware of all the kind things you're saying of him!
My orange tabby also tries to get my black cat's food, but he sits and stares at her until she finally gives up and walks away. Consequently, he is 14 pounds and she is a dainty 9 pounds. Thank you for the cute video, at least Julius is persistant to a fault and he finally won out.
Ahh yes, the hunter in his natural habitat! Reading about all of his "conquests" left lovingly for you to find upon waking has left an enormous smile on my face. What a brave and handsome cat, truly worthy of the name Julius!
The video is awesome, a very intelligent kitty.Whoever says that cat's don't have a brain probably never had a cat and didn't see this video, you can see this kitty plot is next move for the food.I love all the pictures.
