This is Little Smuck (real name Smuckers after the jam, but dubbed "little" because he is infact very tiny for a male). He was adopted from a shelter where he had been found in the middle of winter as a stray. On his cage, someone had taped a heart made out of construction paper that read, "My name is Smuckers- is there room in your heart for me?" He was missing huge chunks of fur, had bloody scabs all over his body, and was so small that I thought for sure he was not over a year old. You might say he was rough around the edges, but anyone who knows anything about cats knows not to be fooled. At the time, I was living in an apartment with a strict no-pets policy, but something deep inside kept telling me this little angel was meant to be with me. I visited him almost every day for a month, each time going hoping he would be adopted, and at the same time hoping he wouldn't be. He was listed as a "special needs" pet due to suspected food allergies, so I think that made potential adopters shy away from him. Ultimately, I was able to find a new apartment that would allow me to have my beloved Little Smuck, and home he came with me; I figured moving was a small price to pay to be able to give Smuck the life he deserved out of that cage. After a few pricey vet bills and a little work done on some serious mouth issues, Smuck is now happy, healthy, and quite possibly the most spoiled cat I know- as he should be. He gets along with every cat he has ever met, has an extremely easy going purrsonality, adjusts to new environments with ease, and loves to wrap his arms around my neck and give me kisses as I rock him. Smuck's very favorite activity above all else is to run around in circles chasing his feather stick, and if he is not getting the proper amount of attention he is very vocal in letting me know. He also "carries on" conversation with me, always replying to my questions with a very serious expression on his face.
