crashnandicoot says: Born feral, Ursula now lives in the lap of luxury. With the help of Carol Manos from Carol’s Ferals, I was able to trap her. She had a large grub living in a wound in her tiny neck, which would have no doubt killed her. I was going to release her after she saw the vet, was spayed, and had a week of antibiotics (she was like a wild raccoon in our basement), but after 24 hours she began to purr! My husband let me keep her!! Ursula is now the dominant cat, despite two large male tabbies and one elderly female cat in the house. She would rather play than eat. Mostly she is super sweet!

Please consider taking the time to trap, neuter, and release the feral cats in your environs. Very likely there is someone in your city or town that will help you. An intact female cat, her mate, and their offspring can produce thousands of cats over the course of five years.

What a good-looking little Tux! Three of my six are "tuxedo" also. I'd love to add Ursula's picture to my collection, too!

Awwww! Loookin' really dominent there, Ursula! LOL. Bless you for th work you do with ferals, and for your advice here. We also took in a little feral girl who was near death when she appeared at our door. She quickly realized how cushy indoor life can be, and she and I now have little slumber parties every night. She still doesn't let our boy kitty (neutered) anywhere near her, but she is beginning, after three plus years, to play with him every now and then. Baby steps. :-)

Aww, she is precious! This pic shows off her lovely left ear tip, which I am sure she received when spayed as you had the intention of releasing her -- this is a sign to the world that a free-roaming kitty has been spayed or neutered. Bless you & your husband for keeping her safely inside -- she is indeed one of the lucky ones! ;)

yes, the ear tip happened because I thought Ursula would be released outside where I found her. The ear tip indicates the cat has been neutered. It breaks my heart a bit because she is so beautiful, but is a statement for TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) for sure. I have three "ferals" (not so much anymore!) living in my backyard in little houses with outdoor rated heating pads on their floors. Feral cats are wonderful creatures who only want to live in their niche with food and shelter. Thanks for your kind comments!

I'm glad you kept her in the end and she's got a better chance in life - she looks sweet and not too ferocious - love this pic with her underneath the ginger one having a cuddle.

Adorable! Further proof that adopting a feral kitten can turn into a wonderful experience and give you a loyal friend! My kitten, Milli was living as a feral kitten in our garage before we adopted her and she's the sweetest thing now! You're awesome!
