Samira says: Melissa, a beautiful calico girl, is one of a long line of feral cats from the same family more or less that I have looked after in my previous home in another neighbourhood. When we moved, I brought her and her brother along with me to our new neighbourhood. Because the feral cats are neither spayed nor neutered, it is usually only the female who remains within the walls of the home. (Homes in Kuwait are usually walled.) Upon reaching maturity, feral male cats usually go on the prowl and are driven by hormones to roam. About a year ago Melissa gave birth to a little girl I have named Russia. Russia looks just like her mother. Melissa has gone missing but Russia still sticks close to the garden and I care for her. She is quite territorial and drives off any intruders.
