Nevada [3]

mightymarce says: We adopted little Nev (short for Mademoiselle Nevada Norcier des Quattre-Pattes) from the Humane Society a couple months ago. She is a playful kitty who loves to attack my husband's socked feet, then curls up to sleep in bed with us at night. She is also quite the purr machine. I love how well she gets along with our toddler -- he pets her gently and loves to lay near her, and she in turn rubs up against his legs and sits by the tub next to him during bath time. She doesn't even mind when he dumps a cupful of water on her. Clearly, we picked the right kitten to adopt. =P

When we got our Ginger, she was 8 months old. She attached herself to our then-3-year old son, sleeping on his pillow around his head, and following him everywhere. We call her our "nanny cat." She just turned 13, and, except for a little arthritis, she's in perfectly good health. I hope you have many happy days with your beautiful Nev! >^..^<

I couldn't agree more with these comments about Nevada. She is a joy. Of course, all black cats remind me of my Pixel and bring some tears as well. Love this shot of her tininess in the forest of chairs.

Nevada is beautiful! I suspect that she'll be your son's "best friend" and possibly even protector for many years. (I hope so.) It will also be good for him in other ways... for one thing, having a kitty around when one is very young helps to reduce allergies!
