Misty Gray [3]

Karen says: I found Misty Gray at a petting zoo at the local county fair. A woman there had 15 or 20 kittens in a bunch of kennels and was selling them for $25 each. I watched as the kittens were being mauled by hundreds of kids. I first saw them on Thursday and I couldn't get them out of my mind. I went back on Saturday and offered her $5 each for the two sickest kittens. Misty had an eye infection and a really bad upper-respiratory infection. We spent a couple of weeks nursing her back to health -- with the help of a vet -- before she was adopted to a good home with a nice family.

thanks for saving 2 of these babies. i hope some other compassionate people helped these kitten. that county needs better laws about animals being sold like that.

I have never forgotten this story. It really disturbed me, and like everyone else commenting, I have always been grateful to Karen for her activism. Misty Gray is so lucky.

Thank you for rescuing the 2 sickest kittens! I wish there was a place to turn in people like that. Misty Gray is a very pretty kitty and I am glad you found a good home for Misty.
