Mandi says: I arrived at my friends house, ready for good food and good company. While sitting in my favorite chair in their living room, I felt something brush against my pant leg. I looked down and there was the cutest kitten ever, playing with the cuff on my jeans. His blue eyes popped out at me at once. That was
Steve French, whom you met yesterday. "Oh yeah," my friend said, "A friend from work was getting rid a surplus of barn kittens (three litters), and we grabbed these two for the kids." Right after her explanation, out popped the second kitten from under the chair, a gorgeous cream girl with orange and black and a pair of bright green eyes. Her name was Nala. "They are from separate litters?" I asked, thinking by the coloring that they were not related. "Nope, brother and sister, just like the kids." Wow, I wouldn't have guessed that these two playful critters were siblings. They looked so different from each other.
After playing with them for a while (okay, okay, it was hours) they curled up and napped on my lap. Who wouldn't fall in love with that? After carefully withdrawing myself, out to the car I went looking for the camera. I only got a few shots of Nala and Steve French together, right after they woke up, since the grass and trees and sun were too much for them to resist exploring. For barn cats, they were very friendly and curious. So cute, so pretty, and so sweet. I think my friends made the perfect choice.
