Lisaraine says: I got Lisa Jr., the mackerel-striped tabby, when she was barely five weeks old, from a very shady grooming center here on the East Side of Los Angeles. She could not have been more adorable, loving, and energetic. But since I work full-time outside my home, I knew I’d have to get her a friend. I went to Sante D’Or, an amazing shelter and adoption center in Silverlake, and found Mary Mary, the white and mixed tabby. She was a month older than Lisa Jr. The first couple of days they fought viciously, but they settled down and now they are like sisters, with a little mini “hive mind”. They still retain very distinct personalities -- Lisa Jr. is definitely the alpha, and she runs amok and gets into trouble while Mary Mary is quieter and more of a lap-cat -– but they are pretty much inseparable. I can’t imagine my life without them!
