Betsy says: Ebony was named for her nearly solid black nose, in order to distinguish her from her sister Ivory, whose nose was nearly solid white. Ebony seemed to have a perpetual smile on her face, which I just adored. She was adopted by a family in September, but apparently was quite traumatized by the adopting family's two young children. Sadly, in late March, the family returned her to us. After being back with us for a week, she had calmed down considerably and was back to being the loving kitten we'd so carefully raised. Ebony is in the care of a new foster family for the time being, but we are confident she will find a forever home soon.

I would love to hear an update too. I sure hope she got lucky with the next adoption. Little children aren't always a good mix with kittens. They just don't understand how to be gentle yet.

I am glad that ebony was returned also. She deserved a better family than she got and those kids need to be taught how to treat an animal not just run rampant and play with them like they were some stuffed toy they can throw around nobody else wants to say it but I will it's been 10 years. My kids had kittens at a very young age but I watch them with the kittens and I wouldn't allow them to play rough it's that simple be a parent.
