Fernando says: While men make war... animals live in peace! Luli used to live in the same house together with the her cat sisters and their kittens and she helped all the other cat-mothers to deal with their offsprings. As far as I know she did it in three different occasions. Luli had been operated on so she couldn't have any puppies of her own and probably she decided to adopt the kittens as her own. But she knew they were not hers only because when Felicia the mother cat came in, Luli left the place to let her feed them. She just came to look after them when the mother was absent and the kittens' mother was so confident that she would leave her kittens with Luli! That's the most amazing part, and the kittens recognized Luli as part of the family. They were so close friends that they could sleep together especially during the winter months. Isn't it wonderful?
Luli lives in a different place now as her owner died last November and I had to take care of the house and the kittens, and Luli went to live with another person in another town. Felicia and the cats still live in the house and I feed them every day. Nowadays there are three little kittens and I feed them together with the grown-ups including male cats, and they let them eat at the same time from the same pot and they don't get mad at that. Of course there's always plenty of food so they don't have to fight for it. Greetings from Nueva Helvecia, Uruguay!
