Karen says: I found Misty Gray at a petting zoo at the local county fair. A woman there had 15 or 20 kittens in a bunch of kennels and was selling them for $25 each. I watched as the kittens were being mauled by hundreds of kids. I first saw them on Thursday and I couldn't get them out of my mind. I went back on Saturday and offered her $5 each for the two sickest kittens. Misty had an eye infection and a really bad upper-respiratory infection. We spent a couple of weeks nursing her back to health -- with the help of a vet -- before she was adopted to a good home with a nice family.

Bless you many times over for going back to get the two sickly kittens as I seriously doubt they would have survived otherwise. I thought petting zoos were for just that, petting animals. “Enterprises” such as hers should be ILLEGAL!!! It was hardly the place for children to be allowed free access. She has the sweetest face and I love her dark toesies. So glad a caring family adopted her:)

This story still haunts me. Praise be to Karen for her clever offer to make a deal for the sickest kittens at a price this person understood. Ugh. I hope both kittens survived with care, and I hope nothing of the sort to the seller.

Well #Karen H it seems all worth saying has been said by my fellow Feline enthusiasts above. Yes, she is a gorgeous Kitty and there is indeed a special place reserved for usurers predatory people.
I join with my friends in my prayers that both of these little ones are now basking in the love and care of a real human in the comfort of a warm home.
