Thumper [5]

Lauren says: Thumper is a purebred Ragdoll kitten. The breed gets its name because when you pick them up they go limp like a ragdoll. Ragdolls are known for their sweet dispositions and love of people. They are sometimes called “puppy cats” because they act like puppies… they follow their humans around the house, they love to play and are very affectionate.

Thumper was born on July 4. He was the runt of the litter, but he quickly outpaced his brothers and sisters as the first to be weaned, the first to use the litter box, and the first to go to his forever home. We brought him home at six weeks old and he quickly fit right in to our family. He is such a joy! He makes us laugh when he plays with us because he tends to do somersaults when he attacks. Not the most effective method of attack, but it sure keeps us laughing! While Thumper loves to play with his humans, he REALLY loves to play with our older cat, Stitch. He follows Stitch around the house and hops on his back to wrestle at every opportunity. He is an avid hunter of feet and toes, so we have to be careful not to accidentally step on little Thumper as he attacks our feet! He’s a sweet boy who will fall asleep whenever and wherever -- in the middle of a toe attack, in the middle of a meal, etc. He’s small enough to fit in one hand and we wish he would stay that small forever. His fur is as soft as a bunny’s fur so we named him after the bunny in Bambi, Thumper. He’s our little snuggle bunny, and we can’t imagine our lives without him.
