Jaime says: Our tenth foster litter included two ginger boys names Shabu and Hinky. I never knew anything about their history except that someone brought them into the shelter. I think this was one of the few times we kept their names when they came home for foster care. We loved their names!

Shabu was a very shy little guy at first, but he warmed up pretty easily. He always seemed to be hiding somewhere, but at the same time always wanted to see what his siblings were getting into and before long, he'd be right back out there with them, running the house. He was cautious, but curious. And he seemed most comfortable with his brother, Hinky. When he worked up enough courage to come sit with me, he was always such a sweet baby!

Oh, Hinky. Such a goof. He had a lot of personality and LOVED people. He loved to just hang out with you, and always made everyone laugh with his antics. He really liked my 15-pound flame point Siamese named Brogan. You could always find him being Brogan's little shadow, and I think the fascination was mutual. (Brogan is actually from my very first foster litter. He came very close to dying when I had him, and because he was so sick, we bonded a lot and I just had to adopt him! He will be three years old next Friday!) :-)

HInky and Shabu were both adopted within one week of going back to the shelter. I don't know if they were adopted together.

What is it about ginger boys? Love them! These two are a delight, and there's a part of me that hopes that they were adopted together...

I also hope they were adopted together. The Rancho Cucamonga Shelter is very nice (a no-kill shelter). They are super careful about who can adopt animals so I know these babies got a really good home, hopefully together!
