Karen says: We adopted Charlie about three weeks ago, after we lost our beloved cat of 16 years, Leo. When we saw this little boy he stole our hearts. Who would have thought that this little 11-week-old kitty could have such an effect? Charlie is a domestic longhair who he appears to be part Maine Coon. He is quite a character, extremely rambunctious and doesn't understand that his three-year-old sister Sophia (a Ragdoll) is more interested in lounging than playing with him. He, on the other hand, is fearless and wrestles with her every chance he gets. We have taught him to fetch and retrieve almost anything. It is a game he can play all day and fascinates us to no end. Funny --people think that fetching is only something we can teach our dogs. He does believe in downtime too; snuggling and having his belly rubbed makes his little engine purr loud. I always know where I can find Charlie because he follows us wherever we go! He was a great adoption decision, and I know in time my Sophia will be loving and grooming him as if he was hers.

He is stunning! And yes, that M on his forehead gives away the Coone in him. As for the fetching - of course kitties can be taught games. Our little Serena (no longer with us), a Russian Blue, would fetch the plastic milk tabs with my husband all day long. It was "their" game and he misses it very much. But we love our two little tabby/MC mix girls now - even if they won't fetch! Charlie is definitely a keeper. Congrats!

I've taught my cat to fetch too. Now he jumps up on the bed with his toys and drops them for me to throw. I've created a little monster!

What a gorgeous and wonderful boy! I love his white paws. Great story, too. He sounds much like my late beloved MC-DLH Charlie. he lived to be 20 y/o. Loudest purr in the world and a real snuggle kitten.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have fallen head over heels with Charlie. He is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! I am confident from those big, beautiful eyes of his that he will bring you a lifetime of love and affection!! He is purrfect in every way! He is definitely photogenic and obviously LOVES to pose for the camera! I agree-get him on a calendar!!

After more than a year I have just now come across Charlie--what a gorgeous, gorgeous kitty he is, was, and forever will be... Wow! Looking at all the votes for all these pictures tells me I'm not the only one who thinks so!
