Mette says: Gucci is my tiny, odd-eyed Norwegian Forest cat. I stumbled upon her one day while randomly browsing the Net and instantly fell in love with her. She is from a small cattery near Copenhagen, Denmark. She's from a litter of four and all her siblings were reserved/sold long before her. I can't believe no one went and picked her. She's the prettiest little thing I have ever set my eyes upon!

There are a lot of rumors about odd-eyed kittens, I'll try to clarify some for you. Many believe that blue-eyed or odd-eyed cats are always born deaf. This is not true! The dominant white gene (W) however, the one that colors the cat completely white, is connected with the hearing gene. The white gene is also connected to the gene that colors the eyes. This is why you often see white cats (especially blue-eyed) being born totally deaf, and why odd-eyed cats are either completely deaf or only deaf on the ear on the side with the blue eye. Deaf cats come in any color but white cats in particular have a higher chance of being born deaf because of this gene. Gucci is hearing on both ears and the mother who has given birth to three litters total has never had a deaf kitten. Another cattery I've been in contact with though just had a litter where three of the white blue-eyed kittens were deaf.

Gucci is a very loving, attention-seeking, and talking cat, speaking back to you when you chit-chat with her or when she thinks you aren't giving her enough attention! She will purr very loud if she sees you come towards her or if you are close to her, and she loves licking you everywhere where skin isn't covered up. She once licked my elbow so much while I was sleeping that it hurt when I woke up! Ever since the first day I got her, she's been full of energy. I have to keep newspaper under her water bowl because she will flip it over to search for food or simply just sit there and hit the water so it gets everywhere till there's no more water left. She looks a lot bigger than she is at the moment because she is developing her winter coat. Fact is that she is still small enough to fit inside my armpit. I love her to bits :) <3

What a sweet little beauty Gucci is. So glad she has hearing in both ears and that she has a real home with you where she can be pampered.

You are gorgeous and I wouldn't care if you were deaf because my cats stay inside where they are safe!

there is no doubt that Gucci is adorable, and one glance at her with those beautiful mismatched eyes, and I was sold for sure. Her fur looks to be as soft as Eiderdown; and she is very special. Give her lots of attention.
