Ed says: Pretty girl is the only tortoiseshell kitten from a litter of six. Some may say that she is just a little shy or reserved but I know she is only holding out for the forever family that SHE wants to adopt. And when the right people come to see her she will surely climb in their lap and purr. Like her littermates, Pretty girl tested positive for FIV on her first test. FIV is not normally passed from a mother to kittens; it is passed from cat to cat by sexual contact or deep bite wounds from fighting cats. Neither of these would be likely for kittens so we are keeping our fingers crossed that they are only showing antibodies from their mom. When they are six months old and we retest we hope they will be clear of FIV. Pretty Girl, Shacker,
Cammy, and
Scooter are still available for adoption at
Kitty City.
