Kittens Living in Allentown

gilfisher1 says: These kittens are a litter of five that was born in an abandoned house nearby. We caught the feral mother, had her spayed, and rereleased her into the neighborhood. We cared for the kittens with the plan to find homes for then when they were ready. Monty, the little grey runt of the litter, was very sickly and lethargic but my wife gave him extra care and he pulled through.

They are just so cute - I love the little white, grey and ginger kitty. They all have very sweet faces and Monty looks very regal! Leena and Lily are so pretty. Glad to hear the mother was spayed and the kittens all found loving homes - a good outcome for all!

I'm from the Lehigh Valley. Good work and Monty grew up to be a beautiful cat! I have four kitties now that we rescued from the woods 8 yrs ago. They bring us so much joy, don't they!

They're all beautiful little babies but I think Monty is my favorite. He is so handsome and his eyes are stunning! Glad you got mom spayed. Not enough people would do that for an animal they most likely will never see agaim. Kudos to you!

So, did Max get to keep Monty? Is Monty real? His coat looks like those really soft plush fabrics. He and his sibs are so beautiful. (I think I overuse that word on this site.)

Thanks for the great comments. All of these kitties are doing well. We spayed the mother and released her. She still comes by to visit occasionally but doesn't let people handle her. 4 of the kittens were adopted by co-workers of my wife. We kept Monty. Couldn't keep them all; we already have 2 from the shelter and 5 other adopted strays from 2 other litters.

We had 2 bad years in the neighborhood; by the time all was said and done I think we rounded up 4 moms and 16 kittens. Thankfully that eliminated the problem, no new litters in 3 years now.
