I suspect Peanut might be a Bengal Cat or a Bengal mix. I base that on your description of "big green eyes and markings, along with his loud meow" and on the shape and size of his front paws. Bengal Cats have very distinctive paws that any Bengal lover can spot a mile away. He is a gorgeous guy!
