PanChan is a lovely and lovable grey korat, the famous royal Thai breed. We adopted him from a litter of three and it was love-at-first-site. Our first year with PanChan was very difficult as he suffered severe separation anxiety. We had sleepless nights for the first nine months with him as he was continually trying to "nurse" on any part of exposed skin throughout the night. He is deeply attached to me and thinks I'm his mom/girlfriend. We've gotten over the hump but he's certainly an early riser. At the first light of dawn, Channi knows it's time for breakfast and will do whatever it takes to get me up. PanChan is a big boy weighing in at 19lbs with very large fangs and a big appetite. Aside from his diet of prescription feline dry food, he eats and enjoys everything and anything from fruit to ice cream to muffins, his favorites tending to be cheese and chicken. PanChan plays fetch and follows me from room-to-room, always wanting to be near one of his people. He's affectionate, fun and always ready to play or be held and cuddled. He's more like a dog than a cat, really, and is always sad when we leave the apartment. PanChan was originally adopted as a playmate for his then 3 year old alpha-female sister who was alone and bored (after suffering the loss of her companion male cat). However, the plan backfired as PanChan grew larger and larger and began to dominate. He is now king of the house and is very jealous of my affection towards his sister. He is constantly trying to prove his dominance to me, quite the machismo! PanChan has a unique personality, loves new people and is quite the gentle giant. He's playful and loving, sometimes underestimating his own strength. Curious, like most cats, he'll definitely check up on what we're doing at anytime. Mostly, though, he just wants to be near for companionship.
