Zoe's Kittens: Necco

Kira says: My brother's cat Zoe gave birth to three kittens not too long ago, two girls and one boy. Zoe was spayed after that litter, so that'll be the only time we get to experience the kitten process, but it was really fun to watch them grow up from the moment of their birth. My brother kept Necco, the little all-black girl. She was the hardest to photograph (black cats always are) so I have just a couple photos of her.

If I ever had a cat give birth to a litter of kittens, I'd never be able to give them up! Especially if any of the were black kitties, since we are particularly partial to black kitties.

Necco is gorgeous! She reminds me of a little black girl with a white star whom I named Stella. Our neighbor's mostly feral cat had two kittens in the garage. I was able to lure the babies out to play with me and had gotten them fairly well socialized. Stella had the little white star, and her brother was all black (I named him Stanley). I tried so hard to find homes for them, but the neighbor took them to a relative's farm :'( I miss those little kitties!

Necco, you are enchanting. I always wanted a black kitty and now that I have one, I am making up for lost time! The contrast of the eyes and pink tongue never fails to make me happy and fond.
