Garage Kittens

Andy says: A while back a stray cat set up shop in my brother's garage and then decided to have a bunch of kittens. I'm not a big fan of cats, but these were definitely a bunch of cute kittens. I was trying to learn more about off-camera flash and they made great subjects. It was hard to keep them away from me and outside the minimum focusing distance of my lens. They would come at me and I would grab them and toss them back into the middle of the room.

Nice photos, Andy, maybe you should try for some when they're sleepy and not looking for so much attention from you ;-) Looks like your brother has made a nice home for them while forever homes are being sought. Good luck to them all and please get the mom-cat fixed! Some Veterinarians may do it for you at a reduced cost, and she'd probably make a nice permanent addition to your brother's garage...? Cats are great for keeping all kinds of rodents and bugs away!

Sounds like you were just too interesting for them to keep their distance. :-) They are really adorable--I don't know if they're still in need of homes, but your photos would be really helpful because they capture the cuteness and vulnerability of the kittens so well.

What sweet little kittehs! The last garage kitty we had moved inside with us where she decided to stay for good. We are thrilled to do her bidding. I hope these little cuties all found wonderful homes!

LOL Using the words "not a fan of cats" and "toss" together in the same paragraph is quite dangerous on a cat lover's website! Sounds as if these kitties took a shine to you ;-) Enjoy their curiosity!

The catties look very annoyed in this photo. I take offense to the work TOSS. Maybe you should pick some other models to photograph and leave these innoncent creatures alone. They are all so precious. Hope your brother gets them spayed and neutered and Mom too.

Yes please, no tossing kittens. While they can be very resilient, they are also very delicate. I'm actually quite surprised you admit such on a decidedly cat lovers website. Be that as it may, I hope the little ones find good homes. I'm sure the local humane society would be able to help you or your brother out with that.

Mmn, don't think I'd take too kindly to being tossed away in order to get a good photo - I was at a car show a few weeks ago and had a rude guy wave me away from MY Corvette as he wanted to take a photo of it, obviously without ME in it! Do not ever 'toss' kittens - move further back and use a long lens if they are too curious. Hopefully one left you a little 'present' in your shoes to say thank you!
