Nine Foster Kittens

Jill says: My fiance, Mark, and I have fostered many kittens together for the Fredericton SPCA, but I was out of the country for a period of time this past summer/fall and he fostered these nine babies by himself while I was away. Mark says that they were a great bunch of really fun kittens and our adult cats loved to run around and play with them.

All of the other kittens except for Gabby were ill and on medication. Our good friends adopted Boris and Gabby (they are now called Angus and Tofu) and we get to visit with them often. Bonkers and Skittles unfortunately succumbed to a nasty upper respiratory disease that was going around the shelter this summer. All of the other kittens quickly found happy forever homes!

These kittens are so sweet. And Mark is a keeper! How wonderful that he kept the rescue going. "Succumbed" means Bonkers and Skittles died, I guess. They were as delightful as their candy names. Fostering means accepting occasional heartbreak.

They are all so cute. So sad about Bonkers and Snickers. It must have been heartbreaking. Mark sounds like THE ONE you should keep in your happy home :-)

What a wonderful pile of catties in this basket. One is cuter than the other. So sorry about Bonkers and Skittles, poor babies. Great job Mark as it must have been a tough job caring for 9 catties and most with special needs.

I am sad over the loss of Bonkers and Skittles...but Mark saved 7 of them! I foster and I know the hurt of loosing these sweet furballs. I never forget the ones I have lost but I always remember that if we don't foster they are all lost. God bless you both for caring and fostering...there are too few of us!
