Gypsie says: Atlas the Bengal kitten was born with Flat Chest syndrome. We initially brought him home to be a companion for his snow brother that we purchased. We were not sure if Atlas would survive long or if he would grow up to be a healthy cat, but decided to give him the nicest life we could. Atlas surprised us all by going from strength to strength and blossoming. He is going to one year old on 7th Feb 2012 and is a happy, very healthy, very active crazy boy with no problems at all. He continues to make us smile every day.

What a loving pair of brothers! Bless you for helping Atlas to 'from strength to strength' as you said so well. Since Flat Chest Syndrome is common among Bengal and Burmese cats, I wonder if the breeder will have the parents spayed and neutered? Not everyone is as kind as you are with a 'special needs' kitten.

Atlas is absolutely darling! Bless you for making your commitment to him for life, no matter what that meant in his case. Because of your love, he will continue to blossom forever. Please give him Bengal ear rubs and tummy tickles for me, and massage his paw pads until he makes a "star footie" for you. I loved doing that with my Bengal Boys who loved it!

Read up on flat-chested syndrome. I am so glad you took the trouble and gave him a chance. Atlas has a wonderful name to live up to, and he is going from strength to strength. He is also lovely. In this photo he looks like a Beatrix Potter drawing.

So hard to pick a favourite shot but the snuggle ones of more than one cat take some beating! Atlas is very handsome and I am glad he is doing well and being loved very much.
