Bailey's Red Boys [redux]

Peter says: Bailey was our red "replacement" for our departed and much loved ginger cat Simba Eclair Du Piemba (Simba, for short). When Bailey had kittens, she had three red boys and three grey/brown females. They were a great, great, great happy family of six plus mom. They played all the time together, and therefore it was very hard to split them up. We only had the boys for two months, then the inevitable separation process began. By that time they were still sort of indistinguishable, so I can't tell much characterwise about the red male trio. We found homes for all three of them and they are now called Puk, Rambo, and Zero. Puk is now living on a farm, Rambo is living with a friend, and Zero is living with my sister-in-law.

Girl Cat has been gone for almost two weeks. These little tangerines made me smile. I would have taken them all. As the days pass and the time comes when we will try to fill a space left by her passing - it will be little oranges - and I suspect more than one. She was one of three with an orange mom. We tried to get her brothers but they had disappeared. This time we will be more diligent in our search. Thank you for these delicious little loves.

I read that 3 out of 4 marmalades are male. That makes this orange striped female a rare red (?) tabby lady. Guess there was only one father, who was gray/black.
