Ash [redux]

Heather says: My husband and I took in a pregnant stray cat named Clousette, who had a litter of six kittens on June 27, 2009, in our master bathroom tub. She was a fabulous momma and raised great kittehs.

Ash is male. This lovable little ball of fur was the last to open his eyes, the last to start waking, but caught up fast with everyone else by being the first to eat solid food and the first to use the litter box. He is also the most unusual of the kittehs in that his coloring doesn't match momma's or the suspected father's in any way. You will be sure to see his little grey and white paws flailing around from under the bedroom door trying to play 'smackem' with his siblings. See more of the kittens on their blog.

Yes, they've all been adopted. Ash and Smirk joined our family and have grown up to be still such sweet kitties. Joys in our lives.

This was probably mentioned last time during the original posting of the kittens, but... Cats are one of the few species who can have different fathers for each kitten in the litter. So Ash may not have the same father as the rest of the litter! Or, recessive genes with the coloring may be coming into play. It's difficult to say.

Female cats can carry the kittens of more than one male if they mate more than once during their "heat." Ash is adorable!

This photo made me laugh out loud. Ash looks stuck in a fuzzy trap, and I think I see someone else's head down in the bottom left. He is such a cutie - I love his markings! >^.^< His name is perfect for him.

Ash's toys are almost bigger than he is in this photo. I love his markings and his name is so appropriate as his grey color is just like ashes. He is adorable!
