Lucy [redux]

vtpeacenik says: I live up in the far northwest corner of Vermont, just minutes from Canada. Three years ago, Lucy was born to my sweet cat, Baby. Lucy was such a beautiful calico I decided I had to keep her, and she has been the best fun ever. Before I moved a couple of months ago, she was my constant companion outdoors on my nature walks. Every time I grabbed my camera, she knew it was time to go out for an adventure. She and her brother, Pepper, always came with me, even when it was below zero outside. Pepper is a gentle giant who LOVES his sister and protects her always. It's the cutest relationship I've ever seen between cats. Now, my cats are indoor cats. I moved a couple of towns over, and I'm not in such a rural area anymore. I feel badly for them sometimes, having to stay indoors all the time, but it's safer that way. Lucy has truly brightened my life since she came along. I hope you enjoy her pictures.

All the pics are great but I love this one that shows all of Lucy's lovely coat and beautiful tail! She looks part Maine Coon. How I envy your time in the rural setting. Seems like paradise to me. But you are being a good cat mama keeping them indoors if your home is no longer rural. Did you get Baby spayed? Kitty kisses to your crew!

I love Lucy! The scenes outdoors are perfectly lovely. Could you work out something for Lucy to get an occasional taste of the outside--leash or net house? I have seen some stuff in catalogs, but they are pricy. Anyway, indoors are best with lots of toys and tree houses. Lucy will be safer. She's a treasure!

She is simply gorgeous! Her colouring is stunning and she has the sweetest face. I can see why you kept her! We live in a rural area and our cats love to wander around our property, but your photos are amazing - we don't have scenery like that here in NZ!

This photo is too cute for words. I once had a duck who walked with my cats, when I lived up North, and the duck was the one who "ruled the roost"!
