Lucy [redux]

Carmelynn says: Lucy was just an itty bitty kitty -- eyes just opening -- when she was thrown into a dumpster by some horrible person. A kind passerby pulled her out and brought her to my friend Joy, who is a Maine Coon cat breeder. Joy took Lucy in and has been fostering her for the past several weeks. They are in the Chandler, Arizona, area. Now Lucy needs a permanent home. Anyone interested in adopting this darling baby can contact Joy through the Good Morning Kitten.

Update: Joy and her family decided they couldn't part with Lucy and kept her. We're happy to report she is now part of Joy's family!

Sounds like fostering cats can be dangerous to your heart! Is Joy a Maine Coon? She doesn't seem big enough, perhaps because she is still young.

It happened in our little town. The local tire store found a kitten in someone's motor and dumped him in the dumpster in 100-degree heat. One of the summer employees was a teen age boy, and he rescued him when he heard him crying. I haven't been back to that business since, and it is owned by a classmate of mine, so I always went there. Thank you to her rescuer!

Looks like she's having a good time in this pix. How could someone just throw her away. How terrible! Makes you wonder if more were thrown away in different dumpsters. She's very lucky to have found such a wonderful family. Should have named her Lucky Lucy.

Gotta love a story with a happy ending:) It is hard to foster and not want to keep them. Been there and done that. It was a miracle she was discovered. Lucy must have a good set of lungs thank God. May your friend and her family have many loving and fun days with Lucy, the itty bitty kitty. ^..^ /

I forget to add how she looks like such a lovebug in this photo. The expression in her eyes is so peaceful and blissful. Joy surely made Lucy a happy little girl:)

Um. . . . by any chance did Joy lose Lucy? Because my brother found a cat in a neighborhood and named her Lucy. She looks exactly like that one. . . i hope we didn't steal!
