Michelle says: Patches and her kittens were with us for foster care in 2009. Patches was at the shelter and her kittens were going to be euthanized because the shelters are overcroweded and because they don't have a foster program to take in mom's and babies. Our rescue did what's known as a "shelter pull" from a list she was on. Sadly, depending on how crowded they are, we may not even be notified or they may not make it to the list. =/
We are really grateful to have been able to take Patches and her babies in. All of the kittens were adopted. It took a while, but Patches was eventually adopted too, to a home with another cat -- she LOVES other cats! That was really fortunate… we tried to find the best home for her and we get updates with the two adult kitties snuggling. Yay!
