Lucy [3]

vtpeacenik says: I live up in the far northwest corner of Vermont, just minutes from Canada. Three years ago, Lucy was born to my sweet cat, Baby. Lucy was such a beautiful calico I decided I had to keep her, and she has been the best fun ever. Before I moved a couple of months ago, she was my constant companion outdoors on my nature walks. Every time I grabbed my camera, she knew it was time to go out for an adventure. She and her brother, Pepper, always came with me, even when it was below zero outside. Pepper is a gentle giant who LOVES his sister and protects her always. It's the cutest relationship I've ever seen between cats. Now, my cats are indoor cats. I moved a couple of towns over, and I'm not in such a rural area anymore. I feel badly for them sometimes, having to stay indoors all the time, but it's safer that way. Lucy has truly brightened my life since she came along. I hope you enjoy her pictures.

I cannot see this picture enough times as each time I do it brings such a smile. Lucy may be smaller than the goose yet makes up for it with unabashed calico attitude. Many happy content years for you and your fur family:)

Lucy is a real beauty. Don't feel bad about keeping her in. She will live a longer and healtier life. Also you can enrich her indoor life with toys, climbing cat trees and such.

I love her with the goose. They need a catio (an enclosed patio for cats with lots of outdoorsy things.) Or maybe leash training so they can still go out with you.

When my kids were younger, we had a big dog, a cat and a duck. I used to walk them every night in our suburban neighborhood. They walked single file, the duck first, cat and dog. Amazing the duck took charge, I miss those walks. Lucy is absolutely gorgeous, and has the most beautiful fur colors. So glad that you have them with you inside after their move. Wonderful photos.

This is such a beautiful picture! The orange in her fur picks up on the orange in the bushes in the upper right, and beneath her body. Great composition! And I'm so glad that they're indoor kitties, it's so much healthier for them. >^..^<

i remember lucy from the first time. i have the picture of her on the dock on my computer and it comes up every now and then. she is a beauty. all grown up and more gorgeous i'm sure.
