Catherine says: I began fostering kittens and cats in late 2007 after the death of my beloved Smoggy, and in his honor. After a full first year of fostering, I wasn't sure how soon my services would be needed, but I need not have worried as I got a call on January 1, 2009. Actually, it seems it will be a long time before there is any kind of control over the numbers of kittens that are being born.

Anyhow, I went and picked up three little street kitties. We named them Cookie, Willow, and Digby (the only boy). We think they had it a bit rough out there as they were pretty dirty… but the funniest thing is that we gave each of them a bath and they didn't seem to mind it all -- almost like they were familiar with being bathed -- and they each enjoyed the blowdryer session. They were all very happy little souls and very, very purry. The ideal kittens. :D All three were adopted into loving homes by the second week of February 2009.

Oh Catherine, love what you do. A great way to honor your Smoggy, by fostering these darling new lives. Big purrs from the tiny kitten in "chillin" video makes me smile.

Love pics of them all together! I love the videos especially when they are like these little ones...still not quite sure about their feet but so cute for trying to do big cat things.

LOL! I loved the failed attempt to get all three of them to sit in the kitten boxes.

Cute pile of little purr babies. I could watch them play for hours. Helping needy kitties is a nice way to honor your Smoggy - I am sure Smoggy would approve! Thank you for all the good you do, Catherine...
