Chris says: Smudge is actually my sister's kitten. She got him from the SPCA. He was very cute, as you can see from the photos, but also a bit of a ratbag -- he only seemed to know one word from the start and that was "Attack!" No fingers, toes, or any other body part was safe. Since he's all grown up now (about six months old I think) he's mellowed a bit but still likes to hunt insects and chase imaginary things around the house.

I have a real soft spot for the bad boys/girls. My sister had a street cat she adopted and gave the highly unfortunate name of Abbadon, which he was determined to live up to. He would go from snuggling as close as he could to you to shredding machine in 2 seconds. We loved our little psycho, though and he knew that. He'd had a rough life up to that point.
