Betsy says: Ebony was named for her nearly solid black nose, in order to distinguish her from her sister Ivory, whose nose was nearly solid white. Ebony seemed to have a perpetual smile on her face, which I just adored. She was adopted by a family in September, but apparently was quite traumatized by the adopting family's two young children. Sadly, in late March, the family returned her to us. After being back with us for a week, she had calmed down considerably and was back to being the loving kitten we'd so carefully raised. Ebony is in the care of a new foster family for the time being, but we are confident she will find a forever home soon.

What a cute little doll with big ears. :-) That couple should've gotten rid of the kids and kept the kitten!

She's so adorable! It's too bad that family didn't control their children better. It's not that hard to teach them to be kind to animals. All kitties deserve a loving and respectful home. Best wishes to her for finding her forever family.

I am glad Ebony is back with you as I have a kitty I adopted after the age of one who could adjust to children/ my kitty has many moods from the experience that will never heal...His gums (he is yellow/gold /white tabby) had blood line on them when I took him to the vets...Kitties are sometimes loner....I do hope she will get a home with a lot of love and care. and the people will think of what the price is to the kitty before taking them home. kitten are not dogs fun loving all the time...their hearing is acute...sometimes we forget how loud noises affect them Beautiful Ebony! you deserve the best
