L.M. says: The black-and-white cat is a semiferal stray cat who is fed by a friend on mine on the kibbutz. She hangs around with a tabby cat that is her daughter from about a year ago and a total of six kittens. There is an all-black kitten, a black-and-white kitten, two white kittens with tabby spots, and two little tabbys. The black-and-white mom cleans and nurses all of them, while the tabby occasionally allows at least the smaller ones to nurse. We’re not sure who belongs to whom. The biggest of the white-and-tabby kittens is the biggest of all of the kittens and he is the bravest. The black-and-white kitten is the most timid, and the all-black kitten is a bit of a bully. One of the little tabby kittens is goofy and it seems like (s)he isn't really aware of her/his surroundings. They are all too skittish to let me approach them, but they will come within a couple feet, and I hope I can get them to become more tame. I'm going to try my best to have them all spayed and neutered, but it may not be possible because there are any free spay/neuter programs here in Israel.
