Eva says: Chocolate Bear with with me for a while. When I got her I thought she was FIV-positive, so I knew that finding her a forever home would be difficult. But then she was retested negative and was adopted to some great people.

Neat! I just recently got a "tortie" and she is a "split face" as well. They are a very unique situation that only occurrs in 1 out of several thousand calico's. I had never seen another until today.

FYI - My cat, Lena, found me when she was about 2 years old. She's FIV positive, and I've had her for 12 years. She's happy and apparently healthy despite her FIV. FIV is nothing to fear.

Chocolate Bear has a distinct line delineating her features on her face - is her body the same? If so, she may have mosaicism (called chymeras), in other words she may be her own twin. Either way, she is gorgeous!!
