wee3beasties says: My whole cat rescue hobby started when I tried to catch a feral cat with a broken back leg. Winston was too smart for the trap, but I caught a very pregnant adolescent Vidalia first (she had Gizmo, Kiwi, Zamboni, Godiva, Guinness, and Finch), then very soon after a pregnant Moonshine. I heard the trap go off in the middle of the night. Moonshine was named for both the way her fur glistened in the moonlight as well as feeling like I had contraband in my basement... not quite sure what my husband was going to think. Moonshine had four kittens.
Otis, one of two orange boys, is and always will be a snuggler. But he was one of my more cautious kittens; he liked to sit back and observe. Otis also was a hoot because he could fall asleep quite quickly and his sleeps were always so deep. He sleeps so soundly that, once positioned, he will remain there no matter what. Makes for a wonderful nighttime companion! He was adopted by a family that now lives in Arizona. What a little treasure he was and still is!

I have always chosen orange tabbies from the rescue. They are my favorite cattie. I have only had 2 other types, a Persian that has passed away and I have a tortie with my present tabby now. This is a beautiful photo. Beautiful face!

Love the tiny kitten ears in the early pics! I adopted my ginger boy at 5 months, so I never got to see what he looked like as a baby - imagine it was something like this gorgeous guy!
