KitKat has grown so much, I had to make her another page with updated pictures! (The main picture is from when she was little, when we first got her)
Here's her story-
KitKat came to us on July 5th, 2013, when our dog, Patch, was barking at her in our barn, and when we went to see what it was, we found her! Kit was a mangy little dirty kitten. To be honest, I thought she was a greyish-brown at first, that's how dirty she was! She was starved, and when we fed her, she ate like she hadn't eaten in weeks! She was about 9 inches long when we got her, from tip of nose to end of tail. (She is now 1 foot and 8 inches long- tip of nose to end of tail) She weighed probably 1-2 pounds, if even. (Now she is 3 and a half pounds) I guess she was about 4 weeks old. (Now Kit is almost 3 months!) She loves our other cat, Snickers, and likes to pretend Snickers is her mama. =) Snickers loves it! She looks very much like our other cat, Junior , that sadly passed away on December 7th, 2012. She didn't used to like our dog Patch at all, but now she actually enjoys being around her! She is very affectionate. She loves to be with people, and will do anything to be with them, whether that is jumping off the moon or running across the yard. I have no idea what happened to her family. Surely something happened to at least the mama, because if not, she wouldn't have showed up so dirty and hungry. I hope they ended up with good families like Kit did too! KitKat is a miracle kitten, and we love her. She is truly a fighter.
I did her last page on July 30th, but now, on September 3rd, I am going to show how much she's changed! She's a different cat! She loves to play, jump, and tackle Snickers. She loves chewing up and ruining toys (She just ruined two yesterday).....She definitely needs supervision with toys. I know she is going to be a good hunter! She loves watching Snickers catch mice and baby moles and birds. For now, all Kit can handle is bugs and frogs. She loves food, but can't seem to stay at her own bowl...I have to sit and watch her eat so she doesn't go rob Snickers' food...which she does a LOT! Which wouldn't really matter, but she has kitten food and Snickers has adult food. Her first vet appointment went very well! She had no fleas, ticks, or ear mites. She didn't have any sicknesses, except for worms. She didn't have any problem with the other cats and dogs there. KitKat will be spayed on Sept. 13th. She will also get her rabies shot when she is old enough. We take very well care of her, and Snickers and Patch take a VERY good care of her too! Snickers and Kit are cuddling as I type! Snickers is KitKat's big brother...or mama she never really had. Patch is her guard, who watches out for her, but with cuddling and playing...no way! Kit means so much to us, and we are so happy with her.
