mpagliar says: Artemis is a brown, black, and white shorthair with exceptional markings whom I adopted from a no-kill rescue seven hours away. The photos of her on Petfinder caught my eye and I followed my instinct to pick her up. All that is known of her history is that she was abandoned at a dog show with her sister, and the rescue spirited them away from doom at a shelter known for euthanizing healthy animals. Named Artemis after the virgin Greek goddess of the hunt, and to honour a distant, beloved spiritual feline "relative" Demeter. She's the most inquisitive, attentive, and expressive cat I have ever had. She will "speak" quietly by moving her mouth in response to people's words as if trying to learn a human language.

Is that the doggy's bed she's lying in? My cats do that all the time because they think they're rulers of the world. I love your kitty and it's name! I adore the black one too!

LoveMyKittehs -- Like your handle, I too love my kittehs, all three of them! She is adorable indeed. I have preferred older cats for a long time, but Artemis was the exception to the rule! :-).

Bono - Oooh, awesome LOLCAT!

Alice - Actually, the bed was for the cats' use, heh. Cats thinking they're the bees' knees are exactly why I love them, they've got real personality!
