Maverick [redux]

Andrew says: Maverick belongs to my friends David and Nick. She was abandoned at just a few days old by her mother, one of the many feral cats at Nick's parents' farm. David and Nick have hand-reared her. They even had to teach her how to use the litter box properly! She's a dear little thing and being hand-reared has given her some really curious (but endearing) habits.

Maverick is a beautiful light grey tabby girl. All the photos was wonderful. I wish that she had a prettier girl name, to match her cuteness! Maverick, reminds me of a Western outlaw! She definitely is not that!

She is absolutely adorable and I am glad she has a better life than her mother and siblings. However, I'd be even happier if I hear that Nick's parents were trapping and spaying the numerous feral cats on their farm to prevent even more unwanted kittens.

unorthodox, unconventional, nonconformist
Maverick had an unorthodox, although too often conventional, beginning. She is a nonconformist in that she beat the odds and survived--thanks to her human friends. I find the name appropriate and fitting.
Thank you, David and Nick, for taking her in and helping her to be that Maverick. I hope she brings you years of joy, kisses and cuddles not to mention purrs and whisker tickles.
